Gyozas are a popular Japanese side dish, and can be found in almost any Japanese restaurant you visit. An equally important component to a gyoza dish is the gyoza dipping sauce. Luckily, delicious homemade gyoza dipping sauce can be made in a matter of minutes and requires only a few ingredients.

What’s in Gyoza Sauce?
I like to make my gyoza dipping sauce with soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, sriracha sauce, and garlic powder. If you don’t like spicy food, you can leave out the sriracha sauce but I think it adds a nice kick.
Many people use fresh minced garlic instead of garlic powder and also add diced green onions. While I do enjoy this variation of sauce in dumpling bowls, I prefer my version as a dipping sauce for gyozas as I don’t like getting a bite with too many chunks of garlic or green onions.
